The show must go on!
Despite many disruptions during 2020 and 2021 due to Covid restrictions, we continued with regular rehearsals and auditions online as much as possible.
We are thrilled to have returned to regular rehearsals and live performances in 2022, while carefully following all health advice and regulations. We even managed to get everyone together for a weekend band camp in March, which was so much fun!
Upcoming events
Northern Youth Symphonic Wind regularly takes part in all levels of state and national competitions, including NSW State Band Championships. We also attend special concert events as opportunities arise.

Annual and special call auditions
Our annual auditions are usually held in December before the end of school term. Throughout the year we also do special call auditions for specific instruments as vacancies become available.

Weekly rehearsals
Each week NYSW members attend a 2-hour rehearsal at Artarmon Public School. Members must come prepared, including arrival with time to set up, ready with music, hand towel and water bottle; and spare reeds or mouthpieces if required.
